Basic Assistance Operator Course


ACCESS TITLE
Lower secondary school certificate.
DURATION
600 hours divided as follows: 300 hours of lecture and 300 hours of apprenticeship.
LOCATION
Lessons will take place at the operative headquarters of Istituto Politecnico Keplero in Termoli (CB), in Via Tremiti, 5.
FINAL CERTIFICATE
According to Law no. 845/78, L.R. 10/95 and DGR 416/2015 the Region Molise issues the specialisation licence for Basic Assistance Operator after passing the final exam.
TITLE VALIDITY
The title has validity in Italy.
TEACHING CONTENTS
Lessons are divided into lectures and practice in the following fields:
  • REGULATIONS, PROCEDURES, RESPONSIBILITIES;
  • ASSISTANCE, SUPPORT, CONVERSATION;
  • SOCIO-WELFARE INTERVENTIONS AND VERIFICATION SYSTEMS;
  • PERSONAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CARE.
EDUCATIONAL GOALS
The course aims at appropriately teaching and qualifying an operator to be able to – after a proper cultural and professional training – take care of the user both at home and hospitals or similar; the operator will also be connected to social services in order to favour the user’s autonomy yet respecting his/her self-determination. This will be achieved through lessons and apprenticeship in order to train the participants in application, distribution and check-up activities.
TESTS
There will be tests (written, oral and practical) on each subject. At the end of the course there will be the Qualifying Examination according to the regional law in force.
TEACHERS
Teachers are professionals with many years of experience in this course.
RECOGNITION OF TRAINING CREDITS
Not considered.
FOREIGN STUDENTS
Foreign students should have a regular residence permit and a good knowledge of Italian (level A2) that will be reinforced through additional lessons.
